Victoria Classic Boat Festival 2019

Fleet:

  • Pacific Northwest
Friday, August 30, 2019 to Sunday, September 1, 2019

The Victoria Classic Boat Festival takes place in Victoria's beautiful Inner Harbour, and is one of the premier classic boat festivals in the world.

The Pacific Northwest on both sides of the border is blessed with an enormous number of traditional boats of all descriptions. The wonderful craft - both yachts and workboats - are cared for by their owners and a supportive community of boatyards, trades people, and admirers. The boat owners and those that support them are why we are able to celebrate this wonderful maritime heritage.

If you are planning to participate in this event, please contact the Event Contact listed below to coordinate with other members.  An Application form for this event is attached below.

The Rendezvous is an annual event, held Monday through Wednesday in the first week of September in Deer Harbor, Orcas Island. There are rowing and sailing races, pot lucks, music and a BBQ for owners of and those interested in wooden boats from the region and San Juan Islands. It is sponsored by the Wooden Boat Society of the San Juan Islands, the Deer Harbor Boat Works, and Boundary Bay Brewery, with the assistance of Deer Harbor Inn and the Deer Harbor Marina. It takes place the week between the Victoria and Port Townsend festivals, so is a great place to chill between shows.

43rd Annual Wooden Boat Festival - September 6-8, 2019

Expanded a little each year, the festival honors its traditions while inviting energetic debate and demonstration about the latest innovations in boatbuilding, equipment, skills, and adventure.

Many CYA boats will be in attendance, so be sure to contact Larry Benson at the link below to coordinate with other members. Also, Rick Randall leads a Classic Yacht Seminar at the show.
