Lighted Boat Parade

Fleet:

Saturday, December 7, 2019 to Saturday, December 14, 2019

Lighted boat paradeGet out the holiday lights and decorations because the Annual Holiday Lighted Boat Parade in San Rafael has now been booked for Saturday, December 7th, and again on Saturday December 14th. Once again the Marin Yacht Club has invited all Classic Yacht Association members to join them at their beautiful club and harbor to stage the parade that will proceed up the San Rafael canal to the turning basin of the San Rafael Yacht Club and, completing the route, by returning to Marin YC. Following the parade the Marin YC will offer a dinner at the Club or you may choose to enjoy a drink at the bar and return to your boats for a pot luck dinner on the docks. As the time draws near the date, we will be sending out more information about this event billed as the largest holiday boat parade in northern California.

Let’s all celebrate the holiday season and our last CYA get-together for 2019 by participating, either by signing up to bring your boat to Marin, or coming by land yacht and catching a ride on one of our boats that will be there.

Christmas cruise boats
It’s time to get into the holiday boating spirit and join your fellow CYA members for the 2019 Holiday Cruise and 47th Annual Chet Gibson Memorial Lighted Boat Parade, December 7th!  The parade route no longer passes by Husky Dock, so lucky for us Queen City Yacht Club, which hosts the parade, has graciously invited CYA members to participate in the parade and offered us guest moorage at Queen City’s guest dock afterwards where we can join the festivities at the club, including a BYOB potluck dinner followed by dancing to the music of Queen City’s own “house band,” The Desolation Sounds!  How fun is that!???

Not in the mood to expose your beloved classic yacht to the winter elements?  No problem!  Be Marcine and Will’s guest on TAHOE, their 1962 Chris Craft Constellation, where we’ll watch the parade from Lake Union and then dock at Queen City for the party.  Guests on TAHOE are limited to the first 20 to RSVP.

Please RSVP by November 29th  to marcineh@comcast.net for either the TAHOE cruise OR if you’d like to bring your boat to participate in the parade.  Moorage at Queen City is limited so RSVP early to secure your spot. (Moorage is available during the party but not overnight.)

Saturday, December 8th; Parade starts at 6pm at the Green buoy by Gasworks Park; Queen City Potluck 7:30 BYOB; Dancing 8:30 – 11.  Further details can be found at queencity.org/event/chet-gibson-lighted-boat-parade-and-electric-christmas-ball

Any questions? Please email or call Marcine at (206) 854-3254.

Happy Holidays!
