Bacchus - 1979

Hudson 39' (Pacific Northwest Fleet - Member)

BACCHUS is a classic 1970’s era 39 ft fiberglass tri-cabin trawler. This type of vessel was designed to provide boaters with a fuel efficient boat in the 40 ft class in response to the 1970’s OPEC oil shortage. She was designed by Arthur Defever and built by Hudson in Taiwan. She has a single 120hp diesel engine, so she cruises at 7 knots while only burning about 1 1/2 gallon of fuel each hour. BACCHUS has cruised all the waters of Puget Sound, Canadian Gulf Islands and traveled to Alaska numerous times.

Belle - 1981

Ron Bell 47' (Pacific Northwest Fleet - Member)

Belle is a traditionally designed 47’ bridge deck cruiser. She is similar to vessels built by Elco and Stephens in the late 1920’s.

She was designed and built by Ron Bell in Richmond, British Columbia. Powered by an Isuzu 120 diesel engine, she cruises at 9 knots using about 2.5 gallons of fuel per hour.

We have owned Belle for 14 years. We live on her several months every summer and cruise from the southern end of Puget Sound to the top of Vancouver Island.

Belle is not what she seems; although a classic design she was built in 1982. She has a fiberglass hull... and a mahogany heart.

Southern Bay - 1994

Beckman Limited, Rhode Island 21' (Southern California Fleet - Vintage)

“Southern Bay” has an interesting history. She is a replica of a 1905 steam-powered launch built in Michigan by the Truscott Boat Mfg. Co. Truscott is not a well know company although they built as many as 500 boats a year up until 1945.
