The Classic Yacht Association hosts numerous events each year in all of the fleets. Rendezvous, classic boat shows, as well as smaller get-togethers and meetings. In addition, our members are frequent participants in classic and wooden boat festivals hosted by others.

The Center for Wooden Boats is planning a Grand Opening celebration of the new Dick Wagner Center on Saturday, March 23, with lots of activities planned. They have asked the CYA to bring some boats and have Open Boat on the North and West Walls and we have agreed to put the word out to our members.
Our new Commodore for 2019 is Laura Shifflette, and she has selected Saturday April 27 to be our CYA Opening Day. It is the week before the big Seattle Opening Day, so will be a great opportunity to dust off the cobwebs and get the boat out of the shed! Details of when and where to meet will be forthcoming, so stay tuned . . .

Since 1980. On display will be wooden boats of all sizes and types, new and old, power and sail, row boats, dinghies, kayaks and canoes. While visiting the fair browse the arts and crafts booths featuring beautiful artwork and pottery, wooden décor, jewelry, clothing, stain glass, leather products, hammocks, sky chairs and many more nautical-related items.
The annual Ladysmith Maritime Festival celebrates the rich history of the Ladysmith harbour and local marine heritage. The Maritime Heritage Day is for mariners and wooden boat enthusiasts featuring marine heritage vessels dockside and on land, talks & shows given by key heritage boat writers, tours of the new marine heritage and cultural centre & our waterfront museum, harbour tours, marine swaps, food and music.

14th Annual CLASSIC YACHT DISPLAY sponsored by Pacific Northwest Classic Yacht Association will be in the water all weekend long. Bring your sea legs and stroll the docks marveling in the beauty of yachts built as early as 1928 and up to 73’ long. The craftsmanship is unsurpassed and you have to see the beauty of these boats to believe it.

The Wooden Boat Show at the Waterland Festival in Des Moines occurs on July 19- 20-21. CYA members are invited to cruise in and join the fun. This year, the CYA “South Sound Cruise” starts in Des Moines at the finish of the Festival; a great opportunity to enjoy the best of both!
Pacific Northwest- Mon, 09/02/2019 to Thu, 09/05/2019
The Rendezvous is an annual event, held Monday through Wednesday in the first week of September in Deer Harbor, Orcas Island. It is the week between the Victoria and Port Townsend festivals, so is a great place to chill between shows.
The Pacific Northwest Fleet of the Classic Yacht Association invites you to the annual Thanksgiving Cruise, Friday, November 22 at the Husky Stadium Floats [location subject to change . . .], starting at 1100 hours.
Northern California- Sat, 12/07/2019 to Sat, 12/14/2019
Get out the holiday lights and decorations because the Annual Holiday Lighted Boat Parade in San Rafael has now been booked for Saturday, December 7th, and again on Saturday December 14th. Once again the Marin Yacht Club has invited all Classic Yacht Association members to join them at their beautiful club and harbor to stage the parade that will proceed up the San Rafael canal to the turning basin of the San Rafael Yacht Club and, completing the route, by returning to Marin YC.

2020 is the 50th anniversary of the Classic Yacht Association, and the PNW Fleet is planning the biggest party ever. It will be held in Seattle on Lake Union, utilizing the Center for Wooden Boats (including their brand new education center), the Museum of History and Industry (home of Puget Sound Maritime Historical Society, the Steamer Virginia V, and much more.
