Flagship Maritime will be holding a joint session for SYC & CYA at the SYC
Elliott Bay Outstation as follows:
* The "6-pack" class runs April 9-13 AND April 16 & 17. It is a 7-day class.
* Testing for the "6-pack" is on Tuesday, April 17
* If you want to add on the Master's, the class runs April 18-20.
* Testing for the Master's is on Friday, April 20th.

The 101st Opening Day on the Bay!This is a tradition for our fleet, as our classics lead the parade along the San Francisco waterfront. Later our participants and guests cruise to a common spot for a pot-luck dinner.

Opening Day is to be held at the Huntington Harbour Yacht Club like last year. Nice Sunday brunch and fun day activities. Contact Rear Commodore, Janet Beggs for details.
The Commodore's Cruise has traditionally been held on the day after our Change of Watch dinner, which was in February. However, since we've change to having our COW dinner in November, the Commodore's Cruise is now a "floating" date - to be determined at the discretion of the Commodore.
This is the largest Opening Day celebration in the world! Portage Bay and the Montlake Cut past the University of Washington and the Arboretum, with boats and spectators lined up for miles!
Dock space is available for CYA members participating in the Saturday parade. Contact Larry Benson, Dockmaster.
Since 1980. On display will be wooden boats of all sizes and types, new and old, power and sail, row boats, dinghies, kayaks and canoes. While visiting the fair browse the arts and crafts booths featuring beautiful artwork and pottery, wooden décor, jewelry, clothing, stain glass, leather products, hammocks, sky chairs and many more nautical-related items.
The FIRM deadline for submitting material for the Spring (June) Issue of the Classic Yachting Newsletter will be May 15.
Whether you attend this event with your 1950's Stephens or Chevy Bel-Air, it's amazing to see downtown Petaluma transform itself into a 1950's culture scene including bee-hive hair and Elvis's all over.

Come and join us for a maritime weekend in Astoria, Oregon! We’ll enjoy an insider tour of the Columbia River Maritime Museum (CRMM) archives, a museum tour, a briefing by a former Columbia River Sector Coast Guard administrator, some fine dining and plenty of other activities in this historic port city.
The Tides has great docks, and they have invited our Classics to take them over for this rollickingly fun rendezvous in glorious Gig Harbor!

13th Annual CLASSIC YACHT DISPLAY sponsored by Pacific Northwest Classic Yacht Association will be in the water all weekend long. Bring your sea legs and stroll the docks marveling in the beauty of yachts built as early as 1928 and up to 73’ long. The craftsmanship is unsurpassed and you have to see the beauty of these boats to believe it.

We are thrilled to announce that this year's Marquee Class will be Blanchard Boat Company built boats. Featured will be several of the Blanchard Stock Cruisers (“Dreamboats”), and tentatively, a 72’ schooner and a 100’ fantail motor yacht. This event represents the largest gathering of classic motor yachts in the world! Admission to all show sites is complimentary.

Telegraph Harbour
The Des Moines Classic Car and Boat Show has developed into one of the premier events South of the city. It is a one day (Saturday) event that includes not only the cars and boats, but live music, and the weekly Farmers market. There is a lot to do and see! The marina has capacity for 35 classic boats and we can squeeze in 40 if we stern tie a few.
Join with other CYA vessels as we converge at the Antique & Classic Boat Rendezvous at Mystic Seaport.

Head to Burton Chace Park for the 42nd annual event. The public is invited to tour vintage yachts and classic cars from the 20’s to the 60’s on Sunday the 29th, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Calling all Stephens yachts! And any other classics too! If your classic is in the Delta this Summer or you moor in the Delta, this is a must-attend event. Village West Marina's new owners are rolling out the red carpet for our fleet to celebrate our yachts on public display, August 4th during hte Taste of the Delta event. We are co-branding both events with the Delta Chamber of Commerce.
This is a great event that is well attended by the public, with strong participation by CYA member boats.

Marina Pacifica Summer Cruise-In.
Sponsored by the Vancouver Wooden Boat Society, the annual Vancouver Wooden Boat Festival is held at Granville Island in Vancouver BC in August each year. The dates for the 2014 festival are August 21-24.

A new event!! Cruise, ride another vessel or fly to Decatur Island! For those cruising from Vancouver Boat Festival to the Victoria Festival, we have place for you to stop and relax in the San Juan Islands.
The Victoria Classic Boat Festival takes place in Victoria's beautiful Inner Harbour, and is one of the premier classic boat festivals in the world.
The Rendezvous is an annual event, held Monday through Wednesday in the first week of September in Deer Harbor, Orcas Island. It is the week between the Victoria and Port Townsend festivals, so is a great place to chill between shows.
Port Townsend's Wooden Boat Festival is the most education-packed and inspiring wooden boat event in the world, and features more than 300 wooden vessels.
Newport Beach, Marina Park
The Brownsville Appreciation Days are a big deal in Brownsville (on the Olympic Peninsula), and are a blast for CYA boats to attend, with free moorage at their gorgeous marina.
Celebrating Wooden Boats! Our 42nd Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival celebrates the history, the craft of and the culture wooden boats, large and small.

Our Membership System software provider, Wild Apricot, released a new upgrade this week, which included a feature we have been wanting. In the past, when we sent bulk emails to our members, they have only been able to be routed to the first email address in our database . . .
Now we have the same burgee for all!
