Ladysmith Maritime Heritage Day

The Ladysmith Maritime Heritage Day is for mariners and wooden boat enthusiasts featuring marine heritage vessels dockside and on land, talks & shows given by key heritage boat writers, tours of the marine heritage and cultural centre & our waterfront museum, harbour tours, marine swaps, food and music. Ladysmith, BC, Canada, on Vancouver Island.
 Proposed Program Activities - Friday Evening 7 to 9 PM

  • Demonstrations

 Proposed Program Activities – Saturday 10 to 4 PM

  • Visiting Heritage Vessels
  • LMS Heritage fleet
  • Harbour Tours
  • Dry-land and on water displays
  • Speakers, demonstrations, videos
  • Entertainment/concession
  • Floating museum & boat shed displays

 Heritage Vessels

  • Arrival either Friday evening or by Saturday Morning. (Please confirm participation and dock requirements)
  • Upon arrival at Ladysmith Harbour contact the Wharfinger  at VHF 66 or 250-245-1146 for slip assignment and assistance docking
  • Free Moorage provided
  • Vessel must be open for inspection and operable by 10 AM when event begins
  • Display of historical information on or in front of vessel requested.  Assistance with display can be provided on request.

 Displays for Saturday

  • Displays should be set up on Saturday morning as LMS has no overnight security
  • Displays must be open for inspection and operable by 10 AM
  • Confirmation of participation to Rob Pinkerton is requested by May 15th
  • Requirements for power and water should be made to Rob Pinkerton
  • Participation is free
