At the recent Annual Meeting of the Classic Yacht Association, a resolution was passed to eliminate the “Affiliate” category of membership, which was perceived by some to imply a secondary status of member. The new system means all who join the CYA are considered equally as simply “Members”. Members may then apply to have their vessels classified as Classic or Vintage, according to the build year criterion as specified in the by-laws. It is hoped that anyone with an interest in Classic Motor Yachts will feel welcome to join the CYA, regardless of whether they own a qualifying vessel or not.

Built by the Richardson Boat Company of New York in 1952, Sea Otter was brought to the Pacific Northwest by rail. She cruised out of the Tacoma Yacht Club for many years. She is in excellent condition, and has just come on the market.
