You have to log into your CYA (Wild Apricot) account if you want to access member-only content or perform membership self-service functions, such as view your event registrations or pay an invoice, among other self-service functions.

New members are automatically logged in after supplying their email address when they apply for membership, register for an event, or make a donation.

You can log into your Wild Apricot site using your Wild Apricot credentials, or using your Facebook or Google+ credentials.

Where do I log in?

Direct your browser to classicyacht.org. (No need for www’s or https://) If you are not logged in already, you will see a LOGIN button at the upper right of our website.

Click on the LOGIN button.

Entering your login credentials 

After clicking on the Login button, you will be presented with the Login dialogue box:

In the log in fields, you enter your CYA credentials – your primary email and password – then click the Login button. You can also log in using your Facebook or Google+ credentials.

(Note: You can only use your account's Primary Email address for logging in. All memberships are allowed two email addresses per account, both of which will receive emails notifications, etc. but only the first one listed is considered the Primary Email, and is the only one you can log in with.)

If you do not remember your password, click the Forgot password link next to the Login button. On the page that appears, you can enter your email address to receive a reset password link via email. (Don’t contact the webmaster for help with passwords – they are scrambled for your protection and cannot be retrieved by the webmaster.)

Log in with Facebook and Log in with Google buttons are also available on the log in form. When you click one of these social network login buttons, you will be prompted to sign into the corresponding social network. If you are already logged into your social network using the same email address associated with your CYA account (Primary Email only), clicking the button will automatically log you into your CYA account. 

Once you are logged in via a social network, your social network details – including your network name and avatar – will be displayed within the Social network login section of your private member profile.

If you use a different email address for your social network account, you can click the Connect button to log into your social network. To disconnect from your social network without logging off from your CYA account, click the Disconnect link from your member profile.

I forgot my password

If you forget their password, you can click the Forgot password link that appears beside the Login button on the login form or login screen.

On the screen that appears, enter your Primary email address and click the Submit button.

An email will be sent to the address entered with a link you can click to change your password. For security reasons, the link will expire within 24 hours of the message being sent.

Accepting the terms of use

When you first log into the CYA website, you will be required to accept Wild Apricot's terms of use before proceeding.

After you log in

After you log in, a message will appear in the bottom right corner if you have unpaid invoices or incomplete registrations, or are lapsed, overdue, or within a week of your renewal date.

Once logged in, there will be additional content available to you on the site. Most of this is located under the “Members” tab on the main menu. That tab, and all of the content found there, only shows up for logged in members.

Some of the additional content available to logged in members:

• Access and edit your member profile. Change addresses, emails, etc. 
• Turn on or off the receipt of printed newsletters.
• View Membership Rosters, with contact information.
• Access rosters with the Wild Apricot/CYA phone App.
• Member Forums for posting questions, discussions, buy-sell-trade, etc.
• Ability to respond to polls, register for CYA events, etc.

Logging in automatically

To avoid having to enter your email and password every time you log in, check the Remember me option before clicking the Login button.

When you next restart your browser and access the CYA site, you'll be automatically logged in.

You'll be logged in automatically only on the computer you used when you checked the Remember me option. Wild Apricot remembers you by depositing a cookie (a small text file) on your computer. For security reasons, you shouldn't ask Wild Apricot to remember you on shared or public computers.

Logging out

To log out of your CYA account, click the Member icon,  , then choose Logout.

Once you are logged out, you will see your site as non-members do. Member-only pages will not be available.

Troubleshooting

I submitted a password reset request but I did not receive any email

If you don't receive the password reset email, you should check the following:

• Your email spam folder - make sure to add this email to your safe senders list so that future emails will go to your inbox
• Make sure you are using the email address identified as the Primary email. Check the CYA roster if unsure – the Primary Email is the first one listed.

When I click on the link in the email, it does not work; it says that it is expired

For security reasons, the password reset link is only valid for 24 hours. After this, you will need to use the Forgot password link again.
