Greetings PNW and Canadian fleets! The Bell Harbor Rendezvous to be held on Friday, June 16-Sunday, June 18th at the Bell Harbor Marina on Elliott Bay in Seattle. Our event has a beautiful new logo thanks to Matt Paynton. This year’s poster by world renowned artist and CYA Member David Huchthausen will be in your welcome bag and extra posters from this year and prior years will be available for sale at the event.
Your committee has been hard at work organizing another spectacular event. Thanks to stellar fund raising by Bell Harbor Chair Diane Lander, your entire weekend is hosted by event sponsors including Friday and Saturday night’s moorage at Bell Harbor (a cost of $7,339) and all meals except for the Saturday night dinner. If you wish to arrive on Thursday and/or stay over on Sunday night, you need to contact Bell Harbor Marina at 206-787-3951 to make arrangements.
Further details will be provided, but here is what we have organized so far:
Friday, June 16:
Vessels who want to parade will meet off of Elliott Bay Marina for a festive “parade in” to Bell Harbor Marina. Look for Jim and Margie Paynton on Maranee who will monitor VHF 69. The Seattle Fire Boat will be joining us. Parade will start at 1430 hours (2:30) Vessels will stand off of Bell Harbor Marina until called in by Bob Irving (dockmaster) starting at 1530 (3:30).
“Pizza on the Plaza” will start at 6 PM. Check your registration packet for details as to when you should go to the plaza to get your hosted pizza from our pizza truck, “In Pizza We Crust.” Note in order to get your hosted pizza you will have to have your pizza ticket from your check in packet along with wearing your CYA name-tag. Pizza and salad will be provided, bring your own beverage. Plan to bring the pizza and salad back to your boat to enjoy it.
Saturday, June 17:
Hosted continental breakfast starting at 0800. Show opens at 10 am and continues until 4 pm. One person needs to be aboard your boat at all times while it is on display, and the boats should in most cases be open to the public. An important part of our CYA mission is sharing our boats and educating the public about their history. You are expected to be on board your boat and participate.
Our festive annual Bell Harbor Dinner at Anthony's Pier 66 in the private dining room is sold out as we have a strict seat limit of 70 diners. But do not despair. You can still join us at the private dining room to mingle and socialize during the cocktail hour from 5:45-6:30. And a fabulous raffle will occur during the Happy Hour.
If you would like to be on a wait list for the Anthony’s private dining room CYA dinner, send an e-mail to email@example.com and if a place in the dining room clears due to cancellations, we will let you know. Or you can make your own dinner reservation for 6:30 at Anthony's by calling 206-448-6688 and/or on Open Table. You will be ordering off the regular menu and not the catering menu but you will still have a great dinner!
Sunday, June 18th:
Hosted continental breakfast at 0830. Show hours are 10-4 on Sunday. Awards will be presented shortly after 4 PM.
You will be assigned at least one volunteer shift for the weekend, for one hour. If there is any day or time that won’t work for you, let our volunteer coordinator, Kristin Kochel know by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Volunteering at this event is mandatory for all participants.
Monday, June 19th:
